Halloween Festivities

Our Halloween started a week early at our friends', the Christensens (also where Jackson had the infamous chin injury). They had us over for dinner and then to mix things up, we decorated gingerbread houses Halloween-style.
The kids really enjoyed all the candy and decorating the houses.

And we finished off with delicious, but very messy, cupcakes.

Then Wednesday we went to a fun party for the kids at our friends' the Stewarts' house. First was a "silly" Halloween dinner featuring: pumpkin pasta, hotdog mummies, banana ghosts, and Halloween punch with pumpkin straws. The kids thought it was so fun.

Then the games began: musical monster mash on plates, pin the nose on a pumpkin, catch the ghost balloon, and last but not least, no party is complete without a great story or two.

Thursday was Kennedy's preschool party and siblings were invited so we went to check it out. There were plenty of fun crafts: paper bats by tracing your hands, decorate foam pumpkins and ghosts, spider spuds, and once again, hammering golf tees into a pumpkin (we did this at last year's party). There was also a pumpkin hunt (like for easter eggs) and a hay ride, plus some yummy snacks. It was a really cute party.

Friday, All Hallows Eve, we supported our local "Trunk or Treat" at the Church. Talk about mass candy in a short amount of time or effort. The kids loved it. There were also some fun displays set up around the church that the kids enjoyed looking at and walking through.
